You’re lining your pockets for no other reason…

  1. Hmm… Firewalls, passwords and Anti-virus annoy me too 🙂 Switch it all off!

I remember when you could login with telnet over the Internet…

  2. Bucky: asking a Fedora developer to submit a bz when they have a problem with another package seems pretty reasonable to me — it’s a simple request for cooperation between developers working on the same project.

One issue is that if a developer disables SELinux and doesn’t report the issue, we don’t know what it is and it doesn’t get fixed.

Another issue is that a developer shipping packages without SELinux being enabled is likely to break things for people who have SELinux enabled (~70% of users), further compounding the problem.

    1. So why is that the packages fault? Plus this is a core install. These reports are generated from a stock install and I really wasn’t doing anything that special. I could:

      a) Disable SELinux and live in peace and harmony as I _know_ what I’m doing with my system

      b) File a bug report and wait for it to get fixed, if at all.

      c) Learn some bizarre SELinux voodoo incantation to get my system to work properly again.

      Option a wins every time
